In the G.O. first cited, the Government have issued orders for grant of Tuition fee waiver to First Generation graduate students admitted to First Year B.£/B.Tech/B.Arch degree courses under Government quota through Single Window Counselling from the academic year 2010-11 onwards. ‘Similarly in the G.O second cited, the Government have issued orders for grant of Tuition fee waiver to First Generation graduate students admitted to Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry) B.E / B.Tech degree courses under Government quota through Single Window Counselling from the academic year 2010-11 onwards.For the academic year 2011-2012 also, the First Generation graduate students admitted to First year B.E / B.Tech / B.Arch Degree courses and Second year Lateral Entry B.E / B.Tech degree courses under Government quota through Single window counselling are eligible for Tuition fee concession. The Tuition fee concession to First Generation graduate students is subject to the following conditions i) The student should be admitted under Government quota through single window counselling, ji) . There is no graduate in the family of the student granted tuition fee concession under this scheme. lil) The student is the first person in the family to claim the tuition fee waiver for entire professional course of study. The Principals of all Self Financing Engineering colleges are therefore requested to grant Tuition fee concession to students who have been certified as "FIRST GENERATION GRADUATE” in the allotment order issued by the respective Counselling authority as noted below: i) The Secretary, TNEA, Anna University Chennai,.Chennai- 600 025 (First Year B.E / B.Tech Degree courses) ii) The Secretary, Second Year BE / B.Tech Degree Admissions-2011, ‘Alagappa Chettiar College of Engg. and Technology, Karalkudi-630 004. The Principals of all Seif Financing Engineering Colleges are requested to collect only the applicable fee tabulated above from first generation graduate students admitted under Government quota through single window counselling. The amount of Tuition fee waived to the students will be reimbursed to the respective Institution after verification.
