There are many love stories out there and I

believe that one more is not at all necessary thats
why Through the tunnel would be a more different,
satisfying story to read. Its a story about a boy
who is determined to accomplish a physical task
and he wants to prove to himself.

Task 1

Contrition sent him running after his mother, and yet he ran, he looked
back over his shoulder at the wild bay, and all morning, as he played on
the beach, he thought of it.
As he gasp for air, he could see the local boys , he didn't want them.
Plot: Beach/Tunnel
Conflict:Jerry wants to accomplish a physical task to prove
himself.
Motivation: He wanted to fit in with his friends.

Quotes: He watched that white naked arm and turned his
eyes, which had a frown behind them,toward the bay and back
again to his mother.
That meant a way of he thinking about something.

Task 2

Because of Jerry's pride, he pushed himself to be able to dive

off the rock and swim through the tunnel with the bigger boys.
"He felt he was accepted and he dived again, carefully, proud of
himself". He was determined to prove that he could accomplish
something. He had courage to dive in the tunnel, even though
he had doubt in his mind.

Theme
-GROWING UP
He went out fast over the gleaming sand,over a middle region where rocks
lay like discolored monsters under the surface.
And then,once,while he was clinging to the black wall,his knees came up
and he shot his feet out forwards and they met no obstacle.
Victory filled him.
It was no longer of the least importance to go to the bay.

Conclusion
In conclusion Through the Tunnel is a better option compared to Catch
the Moon, which is just another dumb teenage, love story. Where the
characters love interest changes the characters attitude..blah the usual..
Not at all similar to what Through the Tunnel resembles: life struggles
and internal problems with ones self. To sum things up people should
read Through the Tunnel instead because it is a more interesting story
that has to do with life issues that occur to you in life at some point.
