We have determined that your request is excessively burdensome and broad pursuant to NMSA § 14-2-10 (1978). Therefore, the Office of the State Auditor (OSA) will need additional time to respond to your requests but we will do so as soon as is reasonably practicable. Specifically, your request for “[a}ny and all emails to or from Tim Keller” from January 1, 2015 through May 4, 2015 is excessively broad and burdensome. After compiling the documentation, we will need to review each record pursuant to NMSA § 14-2-10 (1978). The request will entail reviewing a vast number of emails, which is challenging considering our limited staff. If you wish to narrow your request or prioritize within your existing request, this may enable us to produce the responsive documents more quickly. Unfortunately, we were not able to respond sooner. With an almost 50% turnover in staff since January, including a new records custodian in the last month, the response took longer than normal. Our staff is working diligently to comply with your requests and will provide all non- ‘exempt responsive documentation as soon as possible.
