Abstract:

In this poem I am showing my environmental ethic which is based around intrinsic value
or seeing thing things and valuing them for them selves. I am also talking about my sense of

place. I believe that my place is metaphysical I say this because of the observer theory which is
based in quantum mechanics. This theory states that when an action is observed the out come
is changed. Because of this I believe that the only really place is a metaphysical place and can
not be truly observed.
We the observers
The people
The species that affect
Affect the world
Together we change
Change our surroundings
Change each other
The very building blocks
The blocks of our whole universe.
We observe and alter
Not aware

Never alert to the adjustments we are making

Creating, crafting, constructing
Molding the reactions and thoughts
Reshape, restyle the very nature
Nature of the world
The land and sky
and everything
in between
We simply cannot see
We must always agitate
Distress, Disturb
We cannot just see things
We must place notations
Create systems
Define the things around
Always placing value
Never seeing things
Always seeing what they could
Or should be
Be for us
How we use
Use for our own Benefit
Never do we see
See the value
Value of Nature
Nature:
The soul
The spirit
The mind
Nature of the microscopic
Nature of the human
Nature of the ensemble

We the observers
Cannot help but transmute
Change the the very fabric of our existence
Always tearing ripping and shredding

Then stitching hemming and seaming

We observe and alter
Create a new reality and discard the old
Always unhappy in the present
Trying to move forward or
Create a better future
We simply cannot see
We are never content
We must always use
Destroy and reap
Always placing value
Using everything to gain an edge
Never thinking about the value of things
The innate value that all thing house
House forever in themselves and in their existence.
Never do we see
Never do we comprehend
Never can we just see
We must observe
And to observe is to alter.
