Chapter Thirty-Nine

“So,” asked the nervous supernal to his own vizier and the Vizier of

Wisdom, “how do I look?” Serael was wearing a blue-striped black dress shirt

with a bright ruby-colored tie. Over that, he had a jet-black sweater. He had the

cuffs of his sleeves rolled back over the shirt. He was wearing black jeans to

match the sweater, and his shoes were painted a solid ruby color except for the

soles, which were a very, very dark shade of blue. His hair neatly combed, and his

his face seemed very luminous.

“Like a million pieces of gold,” answered Jasper. “Yeah,” laughed Virgil,

“if the gold was pyrite. Of course, if that was true, then the currency would be

worthless.” “Does it really that bad on me,” Serael asked him with full sincerity.

Virgil, stunned by how serious Serael was taking his sarcasm, in full lax, yawned

and replied, “No, but it’d look better on you.” Serael’s eyes brightened by his

words.

“You truly are a total ass, aren’t you,” said the shadow entering the room.

It was Nara. “Well, well, if it isn’t the bitch who nearly killed us all,” commented

Virgil. Jasper gave him a vicious glare. “Hey, I don’t know why you’re so pissed

off. If she’s that than, then you’re the stud.” “Virgil ENOUGH,” shouted Serael,

“how can you insult people you barely even know?” Virgil gave his master a

white-tooth smile and replied, “Haven’t you ever read Mark chapter 10 verse 27,

it says, ‘With God, all things are possible.’” “I don’t think that’s what the Holy

Son meant,” Serael answered back.

“There is no hope for people like you,” commented Jasper, he was

referring to Virgil. “Hope is for sissies,” Jasper answered back, “real men have

Jesus.” “I hate you,” Nara shouted at him. “And I hate every one, God being the

only exception, of course. I care for no man, and no man cares for me,” answered

the cocky vizier. “You know, there is a thin line between love and hate.”

“Actually, there is a Great Wall armed with sentries within every ten feet between

love and hate,” Virgil answered back. Then he said, “Let’s head out.”

The angels (Jasper and Nara included) left the Palace of Black Pearl and

proceeded towards the Diamond Palace, except for Serael. He just teleported

there.
