The graph above shows US real gross national product from 1929 to 1949.
To begin with the GNP decreased dramatically from 700 billions dolars in 1929 to below
500 billions dollars in 1932. The period from 1932 to 1937, the GNP increased gradually
from 400 billions dolars to about 600 billions dolars. By contrast, the GNP fell slightly at
around 50 billions dollars from 1937 to 1938 begin at around 600 billions dolars. More
specifically, there was dramatic rise in the GNP from 600 billions dolars in 1938 to
around 1400 billions dollars in 1942, there is a boom. Then, from 1942 to 1943, the GNP
was stable at 1400 billons dolars. Next, the GNP decreased from 1400 billions dollars in
1943 to about 1200 billions dollars in 1945. Also worth noting is that there was slight
fluctuation in the GNP at around 1300 billions dollars between 1945 to 1949.
It is anticipated that the GNP will grow down, result from Cold War between US and
Russia in the future.
