Upcoming Events

Welcome back to school! We hope that everyone

had a pleasant and relaxing Christmas vacation.
Many students received a No Homework pass for
reading ten books over the holiday. These passes
can be used at any time during the year.

January 23rd
School Spirit Day
(Wear your SES shirt or blue and white)

Math
In January and February, we will continue to work
on the Number strand of mathematics. We will
also begin studying multiplication. Students will
have multiplication happy facts in addition to their
regular happy facts for the next few months.

February 12th
Wear Red, Pink and White Day
Valentines Day Party (p.m.)

Writing
Students will continue working on narrative
writing and start working on descriptive writing.
We are also focusing the word choice trait of
writing.
Reading
Students will continue to work in guided reading
groups.
Science
Students will begin the study of sound.
Social Studies
We will be studying Canada.
