    Sydney Carton will be the mourning dove
    He will stand alongside the innocent
    He helped a family, because of love
    He did it for Lucy and her infant

    His quest, to take the place of another


    Going to jail and tricking his mirror
    A sacrificial death, like his brother
    In the end nothing would have been clearer

    He held the hand of a woman till death


    Screams for death, blood and gore came from the crowd
    And never let go until her last breath
    Yet, Carton never let his head be bowed

    Unfortunately the love from his heart


    Is the reason that they must be apart
