Teaching Experience
Garden Lakes Elementary School Rome, GA
2013 Present
5th Grade English Language Arts Teacher/1st Grade teacher
My first year at Garden Lakes Elementary was the role of a first grade teacher. This
year I have been a fifth grade language arts teacher. I teach one gifted class each day.
We use technology in my classroom on a regular basis. We have a Google Classroom
that my students have used throughout this year to connect with other students,
submit work, and participate in classroom discussions. This year I used Engage NY
ELA as the main part of my curriculum. I designed a new awards show based on
student made ad campaigns that culminated with a red carpet event and GLESEE
Awards Show.
