1 Nephi 15:24
And I said unto them that it was the word of God; and whoso
would hearken unto the word of God, and would hold fast unto it, they
would never perish; neither could the temptations and the fiery darts
of the adversary overpower them unto blindness, to lead them away
to destruction.
3 Nephi 10:14
And now, whoso readeth, let him understand; he that hath the
scriptures, let him search them, . . .
Joseph Smith Matthew 1:22,37
For in those days there shall also arise false Christs, and false
prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch, that, if
possible, they shall deceive the very elect, who are the elect
according to the covenant. . . . And whoso treasureth up my word,
shall not be deceived, . . .
Doctrine & Covenants 84:85
Neither take ye thought beforehand what ye shall say; but
treasure up in your minds continually the words of life, and it shall be
given you in the very hour that portion that shall be meted unto every
man.

Joshua 1:8-9
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou
shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do
according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy
way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Have I not
commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid,
neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee
whithersoever thou goest.
Proverbs 6:21-23
Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy
neck. When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall
keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee. For the
commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of
instruction are the way of life.
