Download the Oral Test Instructions and read it before the day of a test. The test
is officially on Week 6 (Thursday July 16, 2015). If you are absent on the day a test is
given, you must talk with the instructor to schedule a day and time to take it. It is not the
responsibility of the instructor to remind students to take missed tests. Missed exams
that are not made up will be scored as zeros.

The environment: global warming, recycling, pollution
Human relationships: marriage, raising children, spending time with family
Life Style and health: fast food, medical research, health care systems
Media and technology: Internet use, violence on TV, video games
Society and politics: taxes, volunteer work, caring for elderly people
Instructions
Read the topics listed above. Read the guidelines below. Think about your answer and
jot some notes down or write a script when you prepare for the test; however, you are
NOT allowed to bring notes when taking the test.
On the day of a test, you will be asked to draw lots so that you get ONE topic to
speak.
Once you are given a topic card, you will have one minute to prepare for a talk on the
following subject. Take notes if you like.
When ready, you should speak for between 1-2 minutes.
