Aquas Journey
PT Aqua Golden Mississippi was founded
in1973inIndonesia.
The idea of establishing drinking water
company arise when Tirto working as an
employeeof Pertaminain the early 1970s and
employeesof Petronasin the early 1980s.
Tirto later learned that her guests are coming
from western countries are not used to
drinking boiled water, but water that has been
sterilized.

Tirto set up its first factory in Pondok
Ungu,Bekasi, and named it the PT
Golden Mississippi plant with a
production capacity of six million
liters per year.
Before being named Aqua, formerly
namedPuritas(another name of Pure
Artesian Water)

Aquas acquisition
In 1995,Aquabecame the first mineral
water plant which implements in-line
production system in the factory
Mekarsari.
In1998, due to intense competition and
the emergence of new competitors, Lisa
Tirto as owner of Aqua Golden Mississippi
after the death of her husband Tirto
Utomo, Danone sold its shares to the
Group on4 September1998.

AQUA hygienically packaged into
different sizes of plastic bottle; 330
ml, 600 ml, 750 ml and 1500 ml.
AQUA also package in 240 ml plastic
glass which can support various
activities
