Restate thesis in new words with added information
Analyze the tenor of the times
Analyze the effects of the events on the culture
Analyze the effects of this decade on the following decade/future
Research Guidelines:
- Research topics are chosen as a personal choice and are an individual project.
- Students are able to choose any significant decade in history to look at how the events
of that time period affected the people and culture of that context
- 4-5 credible sources must be used an annotated bibliography must be submitted
- Minimum 5 pages of notes submitted (paraphrased & cited 1 page/source)
- Cite each unknown FACT with the authors name in parenthesis after the fact
- Research paper needs to be 4-5 pages in length.
- Paper must be typed, double- spaced.
- Font must be 12 point Times New Roman only.
- Paper needs to be done in MLA format style with a Works Cited page.
- 3 drafts will be handed in ALL TYPED!! (1 for peer edit, one for teacher edit)
Presentation Guidelines:
Oral presentation should be around 10 minutes long
Presentation needs to be done in media format (powerpoint, prezi, keynote, i-movie)
Presentation will be a visual of your research paper.

Project Objectives:

Students through their research will analyze a specific person and or set of events
and explain how they or it played a significant role in History.

Students will assess the strengths and the weaknesses of the event, and its impact
on culture/people/history
- Through this project, students will be able to analyze the impacts of history on society
