To whom it may concern,
It gives me great pleasure to highly recommend Mr. Andrew Kudrayto you. | was blessed to have him in
two developmental classes, Adolescent Psychology and Adulthood and Aging, as he prepared to teach
others, because he was so prepared and responsive. Mr. Kudray had wonderful attendance, always
came to class prepared, contributed to discussion and had great insights. | found through personal
discussion with him that he knows a lot about a lot of things ~ some esoteric and others practical. Like
other young men of his generation, he knows a lot about video games. He will be able to connect with
children and adolescents using that passion. He is very well read and enjoys trivia from art, history and
entertainment. He always has something interesting to share.
Evidence of how well Mr. Kudray thinks and writes can be found in two papers he wrote and presented
at our Spirituality and the Arts and Sciences Conferences here on campus: The Conversion of
Constantine: Piety or Politics? in 2012 and William Shakespeare’s Macbeth: Casualty of Fate or the
Architect of His Own Demise? which won a “best of conference” award in 2013. He is very bright.
Lest you think his gifts are all academic, | would like to share examples of his servant heart. While on
campus he served as a senator from his residence hall for three semesters; led Compline, an evening
in our campus and out reach faith formation/fellowship lock in events for
prayer group weekly; serve
junior and senior high students we call New Crew and Tool Time for six semesters; and joined with a
group making weekly visits to a local assisted living facility, all as a volunteer. He also worked part time
asa docent in our Kreft Arts Center.
| see his strengths then as a gifted intellectual with a servant's heart. He has overcome disappointment
in changing his direction of study and demonstrated his perseverance in reaching his goal as an
educator. He will bring his strengths to a classroom setting where he will care deeply for his task of
educating and his students as individuals, As an area of growth | see for him, it would be more
opportunity to gain experience as he continues in his career. He wears his heart on his sleeve and, like
usall, appreciates being accepted, He works at relationships and makes a great friend. He will see and.
serve all of his students ~ not just the outgoing ones. Again, | most highly recommend him to you.
Sincerely,
Plt Hema [Boy
