Officer Buckle and Gloria Library Charades Game

Directions:
1. Split the class into two teams.
2. Choose one team to go first and one player to begin the charades.
You may need to have them act out the charades with a partner.
3. That person chooses the top card, acts out the safety tip (without
using words).
4. If their team can identify the safety within 30 seconds, they get a
point.
5. If not, the other team gets a chance to guess after the 30
seconds is up. If they guess correctly, they get the point.
6. Continue until all cards have been played.
7. Make sure all the players get a chance to act out a safety tip.
8. The team with the most points wins!

Walk in the library.

Put books back on the shelf


correctly: alphabetically or
numerically.

Do not eat while reading.

Do not slam fists down on the


computer keyboard.

Check out books only under your


name.

Use a quiet voice in the library.

Push in your chair when you are


ready to leave the table.

Use your shelf marker to mark


where the book goes on the
shelf.

Be polite to the library workers.

Choose books that you can read.

Do not drink while reading.

Only four students at a time from


one room for self-checkout.

If a book is messed up, tell and


show the librarian.

Return books on time!

Encourage friends to read good


books that you have read.

Do not bring toys in the library.

Listen and pay attention to the


librarians lesson.

Do not interrupt the librarian as


she reads aloud a book.

Read every day!

Read with clean hands.
