Throughout the Western Civilizations course this I have challenged myself

to research deeper in order to make connections with the past and present
situations that occur. In the class I have properly worked in group settings,
successfully completed all assignments, and learned to use necessary resources
such as computers, documents, primary sources, and videos. My note-taking skills
have improved and Ive gained valuable study habits which have assisted me during
the chapter tests to be able to retain information. Ancient civilizations as well as
modern society have many similarities, but as the people continue to learn and grow
changes are made. Leaders either military or political have a huge influence on a
country. Fear and a general motive can drive people to do a lot of damage as seen
in World War II. In beginning civilizations and in todays time it is crucial to have a
constant supply of resources because resources make jobs and keep the people
alive. Overall, Western Civilizations has improved my understanding of the world
and taught me to be a better leader, student, and person.
