Draft: advantages and disadvantages of preventing a pandemic.

Ricardo Saavedra Flores

There are three main ways in the prevention of a pandemic, in each of them we
can find
advantages and disadvantages effects, though we need to prevent, we must
consider the
consequences of the prevention measures. Firstly, preventing avoidable
catastrophes and
epidemics using policies and strong systems in each country, are in a
sense completely
needful, but for that you need time, and a high level of education in the people
otherwise, it
couldnt have success, however every country needs policies to provent
infectious diseases
these have to be taught in schools.
In the case of detecting threats early, diagnostics are required, also including
the ability of
identifying outbreaks, specimiens, viruses etc so if you consider this, it would
be a higher cost to
the government, despite that, there are more advantages than disadvantages
in this case, it
depends on the focus of the destination of the governments resources, and
how much technology
we have in laboratories, for example; to make medicine.
And finally responding rapidly and effectively, it will depend on the previous
measures, if they
have been taught in the complete population, if they are important too for
them, and if those
policies are effective and executed.
