Ashok Gupta applied for a new electricity connection for

his premises on 30.12.2014 to Delhi Vidut (DVB).

Officer in charge for the DVB was demanded bribe.
Ashok Gupta refused to pay bribe. As a result he was
not granted electricity connection. Ashok made several
visit to DVB office bit none listened to his woes.
Draft an application for Ashok Gupta to seeking the
information related to application status, names and
designation of the officials who were supposed to take
action, time limit for the new connection if any, any
other relevant information related to Ashok Guptas
electricity connection.

The development of the right to information as a part of the constitutional
law of the country started with the petitions of the press to the Supreme
Court but still the RTI Act has not achieved intended results of
transparency and accountability. In the light of above statement critically
evaluate the role of Supreme Court in the development of Right to
