To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter in support of Miss Ashley Fishers application for a teacher
position in your district. Ashley has been my student teacher in my third grade classroom
at Sand Lake Elementary in Sand Lake, Michigan since the school year began.
Ashley is that rarest and most desirable of teachers: insightful and mature,
enthusiastic, talented and capable. She has it all. She loves children and guides them
with the apparent ease of one who is so good at what she does that she makes it look easy.
She picks up nuances and clues most new teachers miss. Her charm and enthusiasm
make the children eager to please her. She works hard and always comes to class
prepared with excellent lessons. She is flexible, knowing how to shorten a lesson if
necessary without sacrificing the key objective, or how to lengthen one if enrichment
opportunities present themselves.
Ashley has proven herself as both an amazing teacher and wonderful colleague.
She has designed and implemented many hands on, creative lessons in the areas, ELA
and Social Studies. Her lessons were created with different learning styles in mind, while
also setting forth high expectations for the students through explicit instructions,
definitive rubrics, and teacher modeling. Students were active participants in their
learning and worked both collaboratively and independently.
I am extremely impressed with Ashleys teaching ability, inquisitive nature and
professionalism, both in and out of the classroom. I am confident that she will be
committed to excellence in her future endeavors. Should your school district need an
outstanding elementary teacher, I would strongly urge you to consider her as a candidate.
Her talents and abilities will be an outstanding addition to any district she works for.
I am pleased to give strong recommendation for Ashley Fisher. She will be an
asset to any district that hires her. If I can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate
to contact me at (616) 984-2079.
Sincerely,

Jill Singleton
