Brake Cooling Package Model Indentifier

Brake Cooling Exchanger - This unit has one Heat Exchanger, a typical setup on a land rig
application.
Brake Cooling Dual Exchanger - This unit has two Heat Exchangers. Most offshore setups will have
BCDE
the second HE to provide 100% backup cooling.
BCE

This number represent the Horsepower rating of the motors in the pump package.
Custom engineered skids for smaller cooling applications.
10
Custom engineered skids for smaller cooling applications.
20
30
Most common size motor found on onshore BCP skids.
50
More commonly found motor size for offshore applications and large onshore applications.
This number represent the ambient temperature rating of the motor.
40
40C is the standard ambient temperature rating for our motors.
55C is an option used mainly by offshore drilling companies that may be operating in very hot
55
environments.
This number represent the pumps size.
32
This is a 3x2x13 2500 Supreme pump.
43
This is a 4x3x13 2500 Supreme pump.
This number represents the amount of plates in the Heat Exchanger.
XX This number could range from as few as 30 plates to as many as 185 plates.
This letter designates the plate material.
S
Stainless Steel plates are used primarily for onshore drilling applications.
Hastelloy C-276 plates are used primarily for offshore applications where the cooling media is
H
seawater. Hast C-276 is a more expensive alternative to Titanium.
Titanium is the preferred material for seawater Heat Exchangers. Unfortunately, titanium will not be
T
readily available until mid 2008.
These numbers represent the size of the cooling water tank in bbls.

06
Custom engineered skids for smaller cooling applications.
09
Custom engineered skids for smaller cooling applications.
15
19
Most common skid for onshore drilling applications.
25
Commonly used for offshore drilling applications.
30
Commonly used for offshore drilling applications.
35
Commonly used for offshore drilling applications.
These letters represent the type of skid used.
B
Breakover skids are used almost exclusively for onshore drilling applications.
E
Lifting Eyes on each corner of the skid are usual on offshore drilling rigs.
C
4" Coaming is also common, but not required, on offshore drilling rigs.
For Example: An offshore application requiring 50hp/55C motors, 4x3 pumps, dual 156 plate Hast C-276 HE
and 25bbl coamed skid:
BCDE-505543156H-25EC
For Example: An onshore application requiring 30hp/40C motors, 3x2 pumps, single 81 plate stainless HE
and 19bbl skid:
