To date, a majority ofthe ills have been agreed-upon, ‘were hearin joint committee and have been available publicly for several days. | understand you are havingsecond thoughts about a provision you signed into law two weeks ago that gives every county the option to use peer-reviewed and heavily regulated CPA firms for their audits. As you know, 28 courtes and most cities and school districts already have this option. However, there is no urgent xed to ater this provision. Itwill not go into effet until next summer and counties who choose to opt-out would nat be elgibieto do so until 2017. Furthermore, we are expecting a report to be released by the Offic ofthe Legislative Auditor by January 15, 2016 that, will provide more informaticn prior to the beginning ofthe next legislative session.
