The improvements will include the replacement, repair and upgrade of old and deteriorated water mains with new materials that are far more resistant to deterioration, breaks, and blockages. The new water mains will bring existing water pipes or mains up to modem standards, accommodate community growth and reduce maintenance requirements. For your convenience, a location map illustrating the project area is on the reverse side of this notice. Project Name: University Avenue Pipeline Replacement Project Estimated Construction Start: May 2015 Estimated Construction End: Spring 2018 Notice of Construction - This project will occur in stages; the City’s contractor will deliver door hangers five days before construction begins on your street. Street Access and Parking — Construction crews will allow access to residences and businesses. Street parking restrictions will be implemented; no parking signs will be placed 48 hours in advance of parking restriction. No parking signs will be color coded depending on the work hours; yellow signs will be used for night work and orange signs will be used for day work. Street Resurfacing — The streets will be resurfaced when all of the project pipelines have been upgraded.
