Abstract

English Tests are widely used in classrooms and outside. Many of them draw a lot
of criticism for not being an accurate measurement tool while their results are
used to make important decisions for stake holders. This article looks into the
definition of a test, its five necessary qualities, namely reliability, validity,
authenticity, backwash, and practicality and how to improve them so that English
tests are good, effect, and useful.
