Giving your Photograph an

Antique Look

1. Open Images
Images can be copied
from here or find your
own. Make sure the
texture image is
negative, or inverted.

2. Add Dust and Scratches:


Select the photo layer, go to Filter >
Noise > Dust and Scratches. Set the
Radius to 2 and Threshold 0

3. Duplicate layer and apply blur:


Duplicate the photo layer. Select
duplicated photo layer, go to Filter >
Blur > Gaussian Blur. Set Radius to 4.

4. Add Layer mask:


Make a Layer Mask on the duplicated
layer. On the mask, create a Radial
Gradient as shown.

5. Copy and paste the texture image on


a separate layer.

6. Change Blending Mode:


Set the Blend Mode of vintage
background to Soft Light.

7. Copy and paste the grunge


texture image on a separate
layer:
Set the Blend Mode of grunge
background to Multiply.

8. Add Adjustment layer:


Create a Hue/Saturation
Adjustment Layer. Check on
Colorize.
