Lines: What kind of lines are in the work? Straight, curved, dotted, broken, wavy, jagged, textured,
horizontal, vertical diagonal, contour or outlines. Were the lines created by abrupt color, value or
texture changes? (2-3 sentences) The work is in a big circle, Its a city of lights essentially in a
circle because it a panorama. The line that goes around it, im pretty sure the shore line or some
type of horizon.

Color and Value

Are the colors warm, cool, bright, dull, light, opaque or transparent? Values resulting from
combinations of lights and darks, or shades and tints of a color.
Shapes (two-dimensional) and forms (three-dimensional), representational, abstract,
organic, geometrical, open, closed.
Texture Rough, smooth, coarse, soft, bumpy, hairy, shady, etc. Simulated you can see
but not feel it or real. (Dont confuse texture with pattern the repetition of some motif in
a recognizable order, such as polka dots or a checkerboard.
(2-3 sentences) The colors are cool because of the black and white. It is a 2-d type of art work
but it has the abstract veiw of the Space needle from Washington State. In my opioion, this
work of art would be smooth to the touch. Like the feel of a picture.

Balance: What contributes to balance in the composition? Is the balance symmetrical,

asymmetrical or radial? (2 -3 sentences) This art work is symmetrial in balance, because of the
full "perfect" circle. Also, there is the white of the city all around.

Interpret What message does this artwork communicate to you?

(3-5 sentences) The feeling i get from this work is that i would be in a coffee shop admiring this art work.
Its soothing and very modern. It has the glow of a night city. Also, you can tell where the Space Needle is.

(3-5 sentences) I really do like that piece of artwork. In my opioion, it is very modern and kind of mysterious. It
shows a monument ( Space needle) and the glowing city around it. It's very artisitc and wonderful. I could look it all
day.
