In this homework we will propose a mixed design ANOVA model experiment.

As it can be
understandable from its name mixed design requires at least one between-treatments variable and
at least one within-treatment variable. So there must be at least two types of variables. To achieve
this we have given an example experiment in which we are testing the antidepressant effects with
tea or coffee drinking in treatment of depression. So our between-subjects variable is antidepressant
pills and our within-subject variable is Tea/Coffee drinking.

In this experiment;
between groups of subjects( ): Main effect of Antidepressant usage on depression
treatment.
Residual variation( ): chance factor that is responsible for observed differences among
the different levels of the between subjects factor(antidepressant usage)
Within treatments( ): The effect of tea or coffee usage in depression treatment
Between Within Treatments: ( ): The interaction effects of tea/coffee with
antidepressant drugs.
Residual variation( ): chance factor that is responsible for observed differences within the same
subject
