The disclosure of information that bears on the public duties of public employees and officials shall not be considered an invasion of personal privacy.” You have the right to have the partial denial of your request reviewed by the Public Access Counselor (PA) at the Office of the Illinois Attorney General. 5 ILCS 140/9.5(a). Attached is a copy the HR Manual that the BOT approved in October of 2007. On page 6, Section 6 Soliciting/Distribution it clearly states that no solicitation may occur and further it states it applies everyone, employees and non-employees. Furthermore, page 7, Section 8 Political Activity clearly states that political activity is prohibited. Lastly, beginning on page 45, Section 16 Village of Oak Lawn \nformation Systems Usage Policy prohibits political beliefs. It further goes on to prohibit the use of our IT system for personal use and prohibits solicitation for political causes. Please let me know If you need anything else.
