Dear Parents/Guardians,

This is an exciting time of the year. Students are doing extremely well on their work so far and I am
excited to introduce technology into the lessons. The Internet is an inexhaustible tool for students and I
plan on having students use it in a multitude of ways. This includes, but is not limited to, collaborating
with peers, conducting research, familiarizing students with social media and the versatile writing world
of blogs. I also am anticipating using the Internet for editing purpose both for and by students.
As technology becomes more advanced each year, it is imperative that students learn to navigate
through the Internet safely and efficiently. The goal is for students to learn the ins and outs of this
technology in order to become the most technologically proficient individuals they can be, while also
aiding in developing their verbal, writing, and reading literacy.

Internet Policy:
1. Students are to follow instructions teacher gives for internet usage.
2. Students are to only use internet for school related purpose.
3. Anything posted by the student must be appropriate to the task at hand as well be related to
academics.
4. Personal information (including but not limited to passwords and usernames) is not to be shared
(with anyone other than the teacher or parents) or posted ANYWHERE.
5. When posting work, students will use their internet name (first name+class number). But last
names are not to be used.
6. All classroom and school rules are to be followed online. (i.e. rules regarding cheating,
plagiarism, respect for school equipment as well a fellow classmates, etc.)
7. Students may lose internet privilege if they decide to break any of these rules.

Before in-class use of the internet, this permission slip below must be signed and returned to Ms. Toth.

Los estudiantes deben seguir instrucciones que el profesor da para el uso del Internet.
Los estudiantes deben utilizar solamente el Internet para el propsito relacionado escuela.
Cualquier cosa fijada por el estudiante debe ser apropiado a la tarea actual tambin se relacione con el
acadmico.
La informacin personal (que incluye pero no limitada a las contraseas y a los usernames) no debe ser
compartida (con cualquier persona con excepcin del profesor o de los padres) o ser fijada
DONDEQUIERA.
Al fijar el trabajo, los estudiantes utilizarn su nombre de Internet (primero name+class nmero). Pero los
nombres pasados no deben ser utilizados.
Todas las reglas de la sala de clase y de la escuela deben ser seguidas en lnea. (es decir. reglas con
respecto el engao, el plagio, el respecto por el equipo de la escuela tambin classmates de un
compaero, al etc.)
Los estudiantes pueden perder privilegio del Internet si deciden romper ninguno de estos reglas.

Antes de que el uso de la en-clase del Internet, este resbaln del permiso abajo se deba firmar y volver al ms Toth.

^I dont know how good the translation actually is but its free so that has to count for something, right?
Also, its a neat tool because it allows you to upload documents and then it just translates the whole
thing.
