Teaching Philosophy

First and foremost, being an educator is about developing the student

as a whole person. The students are my clients, my customers and how I
help them to positively grow as people and citizens through education is the
ultimate measure of my success.
I will make my class as engaging as possible. The students are the
ones who are ultimately responsible for their learning but I should never be
the person who hinders the students learning. I should be the one who
encourages and motivates.
Grades and assessments are important, but only as tools to be used to
educate and develop my students educational purpose. My hope as a
teacher is that every student leaves my class a better person, a person that I
would gladly have as a neighbor and a fellow citizen.
