Support to Win8 with IE 10

Please note that this restriction is valid only for the Bex web runtime. Since Win8 is coming with default browser IE10, BEx tools (except BW Web
runtime) will support that combination.
Support to 64 bit versions
All the Operating Systems are supported for both 32 bit version as well as 64 bit version. But this is not the case for Office versions now. Office 64
bit versions are NOT supported for BEx tools for the moment.

Office version compatibility
The support for Microsoft Office 2013 is available only after BI-addon for SAP GUI 7.30 FEP300. Please refer note 1640140 for more details.
BEx workbooks support the client version of the Excel format only if they are of the same format. Hence if the workbook is stored in the new
formats of 2013, 2010 or 2007, it cannot be opened in the old Excel format of 2003. Note 1339061 contains more background information and
some hints using the old XLS file format of Excel 2003 also on PCs with Excel 2007.
Nevertheless, workbooks created in 2003 format can be accessed and opened in Excel 2007 and Excel 2010 and Excel 2013.

Customerswhohaveonly3.5or4.0or4.5frameworkinstalledinthesystem,havetoinstall2.0frameworkseparatelysince,

2.Additional topics concerning MS Excel Support
Older versions of Microsoft Excel, for example Microsoft Excel 97, 2000 & 2003 are not supported.

The Business Explorer is tested under the following hardware and the hard disk space and the minimum and recommended memory requirement
on these two platforms are also mentioned below.
Hardware Requirements
Hardware used in this case is Pentium 4, 2.8 GHz,1 GB memory and 40 GB HDD. The Hard disk space and Min and recommended Memory
usage for the Business Explorer of SAP NetWeaver 2004s is mentioned below
HDDSpace:380MB
MemoryMin:384MB
Recommended:512MB
Note: The actual memory used under Windows XP platform is 146 MB.
The amount of memory used by OS before SAP GUI installation is 137 MB
The amount of memory used by OS after SAP GUI installation is 283 MB
(256 MB is still sufficient for XP, but sometimes when SAP GUI is executed the system may start swapping)
