I-fly Singapore your chance to fly
I-fly is an indoor skydiving experience. I-fly Singapore, in the island of Sentosa, is open
everyday. Many people enjoy both watching and doing it. This is your chance to really fly.
I-fly is a 3 to 4 storey cylinder room. The floor is made of steel mesh, with air blowing from below.
The wind is as strong as a tornado and capable of lifting a person. To book a slot, walk in the
reception and pick a schedule on the schedule board, then pay the fee. When the slot starts,
the participants walk inside a room where an expert teaches them what to do when they enter
the huge cylinder. To fly, participants have to keep calm, chin up, arms curve, and feet apart.
After doing some training on a table with soft cushion, the group goes to the next floor to gear
up. The trainer gives each participant a skydiving suit, helmet, shoes, googles, and earplugs.
Experts were hired to train people in actual flight at the cylinder room, as fast as 45 seconds
each flight. Participants get 2 times of flight, or more. On the first flight, the trainer teaches each
one how to fly alone, just providing support. On the second flight, the trainer gives the
participant a twirl, causing the two of them to fly together. At the third flight, the expert goes up
with the participant all the way to the top.
I felt nervous at first due to the strong gush of wind and the extreme noise, but enjoyed the flight.
My sister said We enjoyed it so much! We enjoyed skydiving in I-fly, though it hurt my nose, we
had so much fun.
It was great when we experience it, try it out. I am sure you will have much fun! Relax, enjoy,
and fly, then you can earn your wings with I-fly!
