She focuses on creating a student-centered classroom with high expectations and an atmosphere of respect. Her lessons are well-planned, well-executed and contain a variety of teaching strategies to reach all students. Khristy is naturally creative and thrives with differentiating assignments and assessments. Sho is 2'so very adept with technology and has been a leader in our building with the 1:1 iPad initiative and using on-line products to collaborate with students and support learning. Khristy is very versed in formative assessment and also implements a standards-based grading approach at the secondary level to give students opportunities and time to learn, In addition, Khristy is great communicator and solid team-player. She is not afraid to jump in and try new things, is very supportive of building school improvernent initiatives and is very timely with meeting administrative deadlines. Overall, Khristy has done an amazing job as a taacher in our building this school year and I am very saddened that we are not able to retain her as a teacher due to budget cuts in our district.
