Sahaja Yoga Meditation

Introductory Course

Why is Sahaja Yoga Free-of-charge?

Self Realisation is the birthright of every human being, so it wouldn't
be right to charge for it.
How is Sahaja Yoga funded?
There is a minimum of organisation in Sahaja Yoga, and the little
there is, is done on a voluntary basis.
It doesn't cost much anyway. We do accept small donations for
room hire, but the rest is covered by donations from practitioners
and well-wishers.

Sahaja Yoga was started by Shri

Mataji Nirmala Devi in 1970
It is based on ancient knowledge
It is unique because it gives you a
spiritual awakening (known as
'Self Realisation') straight away
You can prove everything about it
yourself by using the new sensations
in the fingertips and other parts of the
body it gives you

In todays course, you will:

Get your "Self Realisation"

Learn how to Meditate and work on yourself
Understand the principles of how to work on other people
Learn some basic techniques for clearing your chakras
Learn a little about "Sahaja Yoga"

Sahaja Yoga Meditation

You don't have to meditate in a cave for years to get the
awakening it gives (Self Realisation)

And everybody can Meditate!

Self Realisation:
Awakens the Kundalini energy in
the sacrum bone
Works through the subtle system
Allows the Kundalini to rise up the
central channel to Sahasrara
Gives the ability to feel the state of
your chakras on your fingertips
Makes you thoughtless without trying

Let's get Self Realisation

Make sure you are comfortable

Listen to the talk by Shri Mataji and do everything she

says
When the exercise has finished, try to stay in Meditation
silently for a few minutes

it is connected with

chakra
Keep your other hand palm upwards
on your lap
Meditate as before until the tingling
goes

Try this yourself

The "Elements"
The subtle elements Earth, air, water, fire,
"ether"
The elements clear the chakras

Some of the elements are used in the

following treatments...

elements with salt dissolved in water

Treatments
Candles can use the Fire element to clear
the chakras

Working on other people

You can work on others in the
same way that you work on
yourself
It doesn't matter where they are
even on the other side of the
world!
Working on others helps to clear
your own Chakras
You do it by feeling their chakras
in your own fingers

If you were going to work on somebody, you would:

Stand behind the person to be worked on
Raise your kundalini and bandhan.
Then do the same with the other person
Put your attention on their chakras
See what you feel in your fingers. (You
should feel different tingles etc.to what you
normally feel)

Point your fingers at the lowest chakra

where there is a problem
Hold your other hand palm upwards in
front of you
Allow the vibrations to flow in to the chakra
The tingling should eventually stop. Move
on to the next chakra up

It's time to try being worked on

Sit with your palms upward on your lap as before

Somebody will stand behind you and work on your Chakras
Notice any different sensations on the hands or other parts of
the body
Enjoy the Meditation

Shri Mataji and Sahaja Yoga:

Shri Mataji gave the world en-masse Self Realisation and she
also showed us how we can live together in the future in a better
way.
While she was with us, she encouraged us to come together as
much as possible to experience the collective joy that is possible
when the people of the world all have their Self-Realisation.
The more you you go deeper with Sahaja Yoga, the more you
experience its benefits

Estimated 2M+ Sahaja Yogis worldwide

SY is now in almost every country

The next item is a film about the life of Shri

Mataji, called "Freedom & Liberation". This lasts
for about 20 mins.
It shows how, in her own country, India, she is
regarded as a "Saint", and she talks about her
reasons for starting Sahaja Yoga in 1970.
