To Whom It May Concern:
Shayna Allshouse very successfully completed her student teaching at South Range
Elementary School. She spent 17 weeks in my special education classroom
observing, assisting and teaching. My classroom consists of cognitively disabled
students and several multiple disability students. All academics are taught in the
resource room. One student is autistic, non verbal and learning to use a
communication device, which offers a challenge to even a very experienced teacher!
Miss Allshouse had an excellent rapport with the students. Her warm personality,
creativity and enthusiasm were noticed by students and staff. Shayna’s willingness.
to take suggestions, modify lessons and experiment with new strategies
demonstrated her motivation ana love for teaching. She had many diverse student
challenges in my room. Shayna effectively communicated with students, aides,
parents and teachers. She was able to participate in several IEP meetings.
Students responded positively to lessons that Miss Allshouse presented. Her lessons
were presented well above average. Shayna’s ability to manage daily routines and
classroom discipline were exemplary.
Miss Allshouse has tremendous initiative, a desire to continue to learn and effective
teaching strategies, I would strongly encourage you to interview and give
consideration to this prospective teacher. She would be an asset to any school.
Sincerely,
Carel Aare
