She has earned exceptional grades, demonstrating mastery of course content. Shayna has also participated in various field placements and student teaching experiences allowing her the opportunity to skillfully apply theory and content to practical, real-life teaching endeavors involving a wide variety of children with differing ages, abilities, and learning needs. ‘Throughout her tenure at the University of Mount Union, U have had the opportunity to interact with Shayna in a variety of venues. During each interaction, Ihave known her to exhibit professional qualities and a proactive attitude. Shayna consistently demonstrates competence in developing classroom lessons, incorporating an appropriate introduction, varied instructional strategies, assessment methods, and lesson closure in her teaching ities, Her positive and proactive approach to family engagement, students, and classroom management strongly compliments her skills as an effective academic instructor. ‘Shayna has an amazing work ethic and intentionally seeks opportunities to further her learning and professional experiences. An example of this is her voluntary participation in a project to develop activities and lessons for an early intervention home visitation program. As her contribution to the project, Shayna independently designed and produced a number of comprehensive lessons with accompanying activity packets that are aligned with kindergarten learning standards. ‘Shayna has a number of strengths to offer an employer. She is a naturally caring person with a love of children and teaching. Her strong verbal and written communications skills allow her to relay information in a clear and coherent manner, She consistently displays # willingness and interest in learning that furthers her success as an effective team member.
