INDIA OPERATIONS
Agro Business
The Company has registered office in Kolkata and corporate office in
Mumbai. The company has strong presence in North East Region of
India and has Branches and Sales network in Guwahati (Assam),
Nagaland, Meghalaya & other states of N.E.Region. The annual
turnover of the Company for financial year 2009-10 is 140 crores.

The Company Imports pulses from Australia, Canada, Myanmar and

other African Countries. The Company Imports pulses at Mumbai and
Kolkata port mainly and goods are marketed throughout the Country
from these ports. The company is also into trading of Sugar in domestic
market. The Company buys sugar from Sugar Mills of
Maharashtra/Karnataka and dispatches the same to North-eastern
States. The Company is also getting into manufacturing activity and
plan to put Pulses processing units near Mumbai .This forward
integration activity will give leverage in the import-export activity of
the Company.
Mining
The Company is diversifying into mining activity, mainly Iron Ore,
Coal, Lime stone etc. The company has acquired Kota stone mines in
the state of Rajasthan. The company has also applied for Limestone
mines in Rajasthan. There are various proposal of Iron Ore mining
under the consideration.
Polymers
The Company imports Polymers from South Korea, Malaysia, Poland,
Germany & Taiwan and markets it through out the Country.
AFRICA OPERATIONS
Ethiopia
The group has established packaging unit near Addis Ababa and this
unit is in operations since last 3 years. The group has recently acquired
floriculture project of about 25 acres near Addis Ababa.

Tanzania
The company is under process of putting up a pulse processing unit of
30,000 mt /annum in EPZ of Dar es Salaam. The company is also under
process of putting up seasum seeds plant in Dar es Salaam. There are
various proposal of mining under consideration in Tanzania.

ADMINISTRATION
The Company is managed by experienced persons from trade and
industry. The overall activity of the Company is looked after by its M.D
Bimal Kothari, a Law Graduate from Guwahati University. He has vast
experience in international business for last 25 years. Mr. Kothari was
the chairman for Asia-Africa committee, World Pulses Organization
(1993 2001). Presently he is the vice-president of Pulses Importers
Association of India.The day to day activities of the company is being
looked after by its Director Mr. Tolaram Bothra, a commerce graduate
from Guwahati University, having vast experience in agro trade since
last 20 years. There are many other professionals working under this
group in various activities.
