A blood streaked face.

Lying and waiting.

Cluttered around with a new victim awaiting.
Peacefully on the battle field.
Waiting.
Waiting for what?

The earth began to rumble.

Gunshots echoed and tanks roared.
I listened and heard the defining boom of a grenade.
And there I lay.
Waiting.
Waiting for what?

My mind was somewhere else.

Out on the battle field.
Looking right ahead.
Waiting.
Waiting for what?

I heard the footsteps closer.

Closing in on me.
Looking right in his eye.
Hes staring back at me.
I think about my family.
No more time to wait.

When I pulled that trigger.

He fell right to the ground.
Guilty, pain, and sadness.
Flowing through my head.
As I lay there I wait
Waiting for something to happen.

Two Tone Poem

Some days Im florescent orange, giddy, and energetic like a huge ball of sarcasm,
joy and excitement exploded in my world of happiness. Bouncing as higher than the
highest clouds in the sky. Peering over to see what awaits me.
Other days Im icy grey, like and old squished, scarred, scratched up old useless car
at the dump. Lazy, angry with ashes pouring out of my head as if I were a hot
volcano. Staying away from me is your best option. Not even hopeful that
something good will happen.

Red as the blood s

On the soldiers faces

Blanketing the battle fields

Remembering the ones who fought for us
The ones that returned
And ones that didnt

Black in the center

Pinned through the dark middle
Like the memory stuck in the center of our hearts
Still remembering them for years to pass
The ones that returned
And the ones that didnt

Ode Poem

Oh beach, your sand is smooth like silk that wriggles between my toes. Molding to
the shape of my body, comforting me like no other chair does. Your sand is the
perfect pale yellow, not too shiny or too dark.
Your ocean is a blanket that covers the sea creatures beneath. Letting them swim,
out in the open, to be free. It is an unending view that my eyes cant be taken off of.
Your waves make a calming noise that soothes me, and takes away all stress. They
crash, floating me to shore. The astonishing crystal clear blue cresting waves the
role ashore and hit my toes, make me smile.
The rays of your sun beat down, to warm the ocean and sand. They heat and
darken my skin. Its so bright that I have to wear shades to even peer at it.
Without you beach my life would be as dull as an unsharpened pencil. It is a life I
cannot imagine.
Beach you are my life.
