Imagine a turquoise archipelago with an island for every day of the year.
With white sand and swaying palm trees, this wonderful place is San Blas;
a good place to rest, relax and enjoy of the virgin nature. Considered by
many travelers as an earthly paradise, the archipelago of San Blas is
located northwest of Panama on the Caribbean Sea and consists of 365
scattered islands around in an area about 100 square miles, and only 36
of these islands are inhabited by the Kuna people, natives of this place,
they care and protect this Panamanian paradise. At San Blas we can arrive
by air and land. By plane, through the Air Panama airline, leaving Albrook
Airport and the flight has a duration of 30 minutes. While road, it is better
to hire the services of authorized companies with vehicles and relevant
experience.
On the other side we can emphasize that San Blas has a privileged climate
all year round and is ideal for all types of travelers, although , the
archipelago of San Blas is not just a beach destination because we can
visit the villages of the Gunas and share them to know their culture,
traditions, lifestyle and others.
Over the years these islands have been the subject of numerous
articles in National Geographic.
San Blas Islands were selected as one of two "best cruise
destinations in the world" by magazines Cruising World and Le
Monde Voyage.
The program of the American television network CBS "Survivor"
selected an island of the archipelago of San Blas known for its idyllic
landscape, Sapbeinega, for a party of reward offered to competitors
who had appeared in programming.
