Dear Prospective Employer,
Please accept this letter in lieu of application for a position as a
full time Secondary English Teacher. My undergraduate degrees in
English and Black Studies show a breadth for language,
communication and analysis. I am coming as a highly qualified
teacher, having recently finished an intense and challenging
Masters in Education program through University of Phoenix. I
exercised theory and practice of teaching, finishing my first
official year of teaching in Shreveport, at Booker T. Washington
High School.
Previous to that experience, I had a most enlightened student
teaching demonstration at Evangel Christian Academy. I have
worked for several years as a substitute teacher. I worked in Los
Angeles, California, which allowed me the experience of working
with diverse cultures and develop a sensitivity to students with
assorted special needs.
I was working in the Entertainment Industry, having done
professional work in the Film and Music Industry. I utilize those
experiences, and use technology and multi-media along with
traditional books as tools to teach out students in this new
millennia. It has been proven successful in developing noticeable
improvements in reading comprehension, and analytical thinking
in our middle and high school aged students.

I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss my other credentials

with you during our interview.
Thank You for your consideration.
Respectfully,

Tomeicko Gilbert
