London Bridge Lesson Plan
Objective:
1. To have the students learn London Bridge
2. To have the students Play song on recorder
3. To have the students play an ostinato pattern on orph instruments and improvise
background
4. To have students Learn movement to song
5. To have students perform as a group
6. To have students evaluate their performance
Procedure:
1. Sing London bridge is Falling Down for class
2. Ask kids to what's happening in the song
3. Talk about London, and show england on map
4. Teach Song by small phrases
5. Teach Song by large phrases to class
6. Sing whole song with class
7. Have class sing song all the way through without assistance
8. Teach song on recorder by rote
9. Teach ostinato pattern
10. Teach Dance pattern
12. Perform Song (with orphs, recorders and singing) and dance
13. Talk about the performance
Evaluation:
0-70 needs improvement 75- 90 Understands concepts 90-100 Mastery of Concepts
Assessment:
1.Teacher will observe if the students can sing song with correct pitches and rhythms
2.Teacher will observe if the students can play song on recorder
3.Teacher will observe if the students can perform ostinato pattern
