Dear Friends,
Please accept this strong letter of recommendation in support of Lauren Bellone’s scholarship application.
Lauren is expected to graduate in June with a degree in Agricultural Science. She intends on continuing her
education in the fall to receive her teaching credential. At Cal Poly, Lauren has become one of the top
students in the Agricultural Education and Communications Department. She currently maintains a GPA.
above 3.00, and received the honor of being on the President's List for the 2013-2014 academic year.
Lauren is a service-oriented individual. She was an active member and officer of Aromas 4-H for over ten
years. In her finals years, she served as a Monterey County Alll Star, President, as well as the Sheep and
ivestock Project Teen Leader. Although she is no longer a youth member, Lauren has continued to
volunteer in her 4-H club by organizing and hosting project meetings, as well as attending the local county
fairs to assist and supervise youth members. With her passion for teaching and agriculture, Lauren chose to
create a Monterey County 4-H Round Robin Guide for her senior project. This guide serves as a source of
earning and improvement for the Monterey County livestock exhibitors.
Lauren is a very hardworking individual. She is finding every means necessary to provide the financial
resources needed to obtain her teaching credential. During her education, she has worked for a local
company, as well as a Student Assistant here on campus. During the summer, Lauren has typically returned
home to work for various companies within the Ag industry. Needless to say, Lauren does have financial
need, and can benefit from any financial resource she can receive,
Twish we had many more students like Lauren in our program. Her career goal is to become a high school
‘Ag Teacher. I have no doubt that she will reach her goals and become a very effective teacher, and role
model for her students, Lauren possesses the prerequisites to be a great teacher. She is kind, compassionate,
hardworking, enthusiastic, and has a servant's heart. I predict she will be a good one!
Please give Lauren’s application your full consideration. If you have any questions you feel I can address,
please feel free to contact me.
