White House Visit: President Obama and Mrs. Obama Welcoming Prime Minister Abe and Mrs. Abe
(Zoll-sensei)
On April 28, 21 Blair students and 21 Paint Branch students who are currently studying Japanese
language had the opportunity to attend President Obama and Mrs. Obama's Welcome Ceremony of the
Japanese Prime Minister Abe and Mrs. Abe at the White House.
We arrived at the White House at 6:30am and attended the ceremony on the South Lawn at 9:00am. It
was a little chilly in the morning but all of us enjoyed the visit to the White House. A few Blair students
and a few Paint Branch tudents were able to shake hands with both President Obama and Japanese Prime
Minister Abe, and one student even got Prime Minister Abe's signature.
Here is a clip of students shaking hands with President Obama and Prime Minister Abe.
