This is the opening for the trailer, they have opened with the names of the main

characters like a text message, which is engaging for the modern day teenage
audience so this is their way to connect to them as it relates to the modern day
society.

This shot is a mid-shot which shows us the audience the relationship between
Alex and Rosie. This makes us think that there is something going on between
them through the use of camera positioning us at the same height as them.

This close up shot shows us the emotions of Rosie. The extreme close up shot
shows that the camera really wants us to focus on her. The non-diegetic sound

track has mainly dialog but has a romantic music piece as well, this song is a
well-known song for teens our age so it is clear that teenagers are the target
audience.

This close up shot of Alex this is to show his emotions and to engage the
audience and can take his emotions in and emotionally connect to him. Rosie is
blurred in the background and we can see her in the mirror which makes us
understand what is going on in the scene.
This scene has a connection to modern day issues, so the teens of today can
emotionally and physically connect as they know and understand what is going
on. The main subject of this is the pregnancy test, you can see this because of
the way it is in focus and she is in the background all blurred out.
