INT. ARTPRINT BUILDING - REBECCAS OFFICE - AFTERNOON


Eric sits in a chair by the desk waiting. His photo of
Mother and Child on the desktop. A moment.
REBECCA (O.C.)
Eric...?
Eric turns and is shocked to see Rebecca standing in the
doorway. He tries his best to act cool.
REBECCA (CONTD)
(shaking his hand)
Im Rebecca Moore. I was at the
gallery last night.
ERIC
I noticed.
She smiles and crosses behind the desk, still standing.
Points to the photo.
REBECCA
Thats the one that got my
attention.
ERIC
Funny. I wouldnt have--funny. I
took that about a year ago. My best
friend right after she gave birth.
I took it for her. I never meant
for it to--how did you get this?
REBECCA
Excuse me?
ERIC
How did you get this photo?
REBECCA
I dont--I assumed you submitted
it. Maybe it came from the gallery.
ERIC
James...?
REBECCA
Anyway. I-(beat)
I wanted to talk to you about a
photo book Im working on. We
select a group of up-and-coming
photographers and we do brief

ERIC
Photographers shooting

REBECCA
Exactly.
ERIC
Cool idea. Well, Im--Im
flattered.
A strange pause.
REBECCA
Okay. Well set it up.
ERIC
Great.
Eric stands they shake hands again. He heads for the door.
REBECCA
How did you decide to take that
particular shot?
ERIC
(turning back)
I dont know. She just...looked
beautiful. And the way the light...
He drifts off, staring at her.
After a moment he crosses back and picks up her cell phone
off the desk.
REBECCA
What are you doing?
ERIC
Nothing.
He moves to a particular position on the side of her desk.
ERIC (CONTD)
Turn this way.
She smiles, shyly and turns. He snaps a picture with her
cell phone and places it back on her desk.
