How to Add Future Years to an Existing Fiscal Calendar

Be sure to extend your Fiscal Calendar periodically. If the Fiscal Calendar does not extend far enough into the future, it
will prevent Master Scheduling from running or cause a number of other issues. The Fiscal Calendar should extend as
far as the Planning Horizon Maximum (MS_PLAN_HORIZON_MAX) parameter. See the Planning Horizon
Management section of the Configuration Parameters Reference Manual for more information about the
MS_PLAN_HORIZON_MAX parameter.
After you have initially created a fiscal calendar for a company, it is simple to add additional years to an existing calendar
when necessary.
To add additional years to an existing calendar, do the following:
1. In the main menu, click on the Tools menu and then select the New Calendar command or click on the New
Calendar icon in the toolbar. The system automatically adds the new year to the bottom row of the Details grid.
2. You can adjust the end date. If you extend the End Date to include a few days that fall out side of the default calendar,
the system will automatically adjust the End Date to achieve a seven-day week and therefore, the calendar could
extend a few days into the next calendar year.
3. In the main menu, click on the Tools menu and then select the Build Calendar command or click on the Build
Calendar icon in the toolbar. The system automatically creates the weeks in the Calendar based on the Begin Date
and End Date.
