Philippine Foreign Relation

The Unvoiced Nobleman

Felipe Agoncillo is a highly honorable man. He became the first Filipino diplomat that
engaged and made a huge impression on the international arena, especially when he attempted to
approach different countries to recognize the independence of the Philippines. Agoncillo has
done so many righteous acts that helped the country stand against colonizers, acknowledge the
rights of every Filipino citizen, and even provided welfare to those in need.
A recognition for this man should be effectuate for he has done a lot of great things to
improve the state. Sadly, he did not get enough recognition from the government for the people
to be aware of his vigorous behavior. So if I were the president of the Philippines at that time, I
would have accorded him with multiple kinds of recognition. One of which would be giving him
a certificate and a medal and doing it publicly so that individuals would have an idea what
Agoncillo has done for the country. Second, I would establish a primary and secondary school
entitled to his name and promote the ideals of Felipe Agoncillos value of freedom. Agoncillo
had observed his beliefs of people finding and acquiring their freedom at such a young age and I
believe that our present-day children should follow Agoncillos conduct to produce more future
generation leaders and be a symbol for the preservation of free will. Lastly, I will probably name
a city after Mr. Agoncillo because I think that he deserves it considering the persevering acts he
did and how many times he never gave up. He is a symbol of a citizens undying love for his
country and his fellow men and for that, he must be given enough credit.
