Mission San Miguel Archangel is an active Catholic

Franciscan Community. Our mission is to offer
Spiritual refuge and welcome all of Gods children
no matter where they may be on their journey.

My Dear Parishioners,
Humility and Peace Pay no great attention to
who is for or against you. Be sure only that God is
with you in whatever you do; keep your conscience
clear and God will defend you. For if God decides to
help a man, no adversity can harm him. For your part,
if you know how to suffer in silence, you will certainly experience Gods help. He knows when and
how to defend you, and you must therefore leave all
in His hands. It is for Him to give help and to free us
from all evils.
Be at peace yourself and you will be able to bring
peace to others. The peaceful man accomplishes far
more than the learned man who is not at peace. For
the man subject to his own passions turns good to evil
and easily believes evil of others, whereas, the man of
goodness and peace finds good in everything. The
man who is at peace is not suspicious of others.
Yours in Christ,
Fr. Pedro Umaa, OFM

Fact No. 2.Did you know that

when Miguel Jose Serra was 15, he
was sent to Palma to continue his
studies? There he worked hard and
lived the life of a Franciscan Friar.
After 2 years he joined the order. He
took the priestly name of Junpero.
He named himself after a friend of
St. Francis of Assisi. The original Junpero was a
man known as the clown of God.
Next week you will have fact No. 3 of 16!!
