RU VC’s accusation
The Rajshahi University VC’s accusation against the police as regards negligent
duty during the clash between the BCL and the Shibir in the university campus is
thought provoking. The police force is supposed to be active and neutral in times
of crisis. However, we hardly have such expectations as we are so used to seeing
the police and other law enforcing agencies being used as a political tool for the
ruling party.
But in this case it seems the opposite has happened. If that actually is the case
then it clearly mentions the government’s weak control over the law enforcing
agencies. The authorities concerned need to look into the allegation of
the RU VC.
