VINELAND, N.J.-- A 24-year old, senior undergraduate student

at Stockton State College in New Jersey was shot in the left
arm early Thursday around 1:00 A.M. while working as a disc
jockey for the local rock and roll radio station, WKQVFM.
Mark Dickson was in the midst of his first show when he
heard a mysterious knock on the door of the studio. All by
himself, he gingerly stepped out of the door to see whom it
was and a man was standing there was a revolver in his
hands.
The shooter was in search of money and said to him,
Give me your wallet. Dickson handed the criminal only 2
dollars and refused to give up his wallet. The immediate
result of this was Dickson getting shot in the left arm and the
shooter fleeing the studio leaving the 2 dollars behind.
Dickson was taken to Bridgeton Hospital, located in
Vineland and was scheduled to go into surgery on his left
arm.
Police have not been able to match up anyones face
with the face of the criminal. The Chief of Police of Vineland
County, Harriett Moseley said, We have no suspects at this
time, an investigation is underway.
Dickson is a native of Mountain View, Virginia, and is
currently studying economics at Stockton State College. He
is also a part of the honor society as well as a member of the
soccer team.
One of Dicksons closest friends from Stockton State
College, named Bob Drake said, Mark is a great guy, and
this shooting is just terrible.

The first day on the job for many is usually a time of

excitement and happiness, yet for Mark Dickson night one
was the polar opposite.
Dickson is currently in stable condition at Bridgeton
Hospital.
