What the issue is ?

i. Sanga Buddhist.
ii. Aarakan region has Buddhist as well as the Muslim population.
Rohingya have not given nationality
Indian settled in Myanmar has also not been given citizenship by the Myanmar.
Plains are habitated by Buddhist while the surrounding hills are by other tribes.
iii. #B took rohingya from Bangladesh to work in Myanmar.
Rakhine is one of the sparsely populated as well it is very fertile region.
iv. Every off monsoon season they migrate to Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia for better avenues.
They have been used by these countries for a long time , now local opposition is creating problem in these
Malaysia , Thailand , Indonesia.
Why only Rohingya why not other Cristian & others
i. One reason is because of their religion(Muslim)
Rohingya themselves used militancy at a point
Myanmar Govt
i. Silence of the local govt. is actually exacerbating the problem.
What should be the approach
i. India is not a signatory to the convention

Under UN convention of Refugees all countries are obliged to provide shelter to these people.
ii. They are also human , humanitarian approach should be there
iii. EU is also facing the same problem however they are following the burden sharing b/w countries.
